Match Report:

Cork Constitution took control of this All Ireland League tie at College Park with a strong first half performance to lead 21-3 at the interval. And, they went on to secure a bonus point victory, with a fourth try in the second period.


Ross O’Neill, Conor Kindregan and Alex McHenry scored first half tries, all converted by Tomas Quinlan to put Constitution in command at 21-3. And replacement flanker, Lar Coughlan scored the bonus point try in the second period.


Leaders Lansdowne, on 27 points, continue to set the pace with a bonus point home victory over Garryowen; Terenure are second, on 24 points, after a home victory over Buccaneers. Clontarf are third on 20 points with victory over UCD at Belfield; Constitution move up to fourth on 17 points, courtesy of today’s bonus point victory. Young Munster go fifth on 15 points, after a big home win over St Mary’s; Garryowen are next on 16 points each. Next Saturday Constitution are at home to Buccaneers who are bottom on just one point.
