Cork Con FC J1 31 - 5 Cashel
Venue: Templehill
Competition: Munster Seconds League
Match Report:

Cork Constitution J1 XV defeated Cashel on Sunday afternoon at Templehill, comfortably securing five Seconds League points. Leading by just 7-5, in a very evenly contested first half, they coped better with the difficult conditions in the second period, as incessant rain made it difficult for all concerned.

But it was Cashel who scored first; after a flurry of yellow cards were dispensed early on, Cashel scrum half Josh Pickering,  took advantage of slack marking, as he slid through a line-out to score from 30 metres in the 12th minute. Constitution hit back in the 17th minute with a try by Michael Clune in the right corner, superbly converted by Simon Barry.

Michael Clune scored his second try in the 45th minute in the left corner for 12-5. Barry Galvin scored in the other corner 10 minutes later, and again Barry struck another fine conversion. Despite a second yellow card, Constitution scored again with Barry Galvin getting his second try, converted by Jamie Murphy for 26-5. And full back Alex McHenry completed the scoring in the 70th minute, as the rain began to pour.
