Cork Con FC 1st XV 17 - 18 Young Munster
Venue: Templehill
Competition: Ulster Bank League Division 1A
Match Report:

Young Munster took the spoils at Temple Hill on Saturday, and by a single point for the second Ulster Bank League tie this season – in the first game at Greenfields, they won 11-10. The Limerick men played with the fresh breeze in the first period, and led 6-0 after half an hour from two penalties by Gearoid Lyons. However, Constitution struck just before the break with Max Abbott touching down from a well controlled maul to the line. Tomas Quinlan added the conversion for a somewhat fortunate half-time lead.

Constitution added to their total with a second try from a strong charge to the line in the 46th minute. And Quinlan added the extras for 14-6. At that stage it looked that the home side might consolidate their advantage, but in a second maul to the line, they turned over possession, and Munsters cleared the danger.

Then at the other end, former Constitution player Alan Ross got in on the end of a maul driven to the line for a try in the 60th minute, and Lyons kicked the conversion, to leave a point between the sides. In a frantic finish, Constitution had captain James Ryan sin-binned, and in the last play of the match Young Munster stole the honours with a try by second-row Sean Duggan from another maul.
