It came from the first line out, taken cleanly by Brian Hayes on the Con 10 metre line, and delivered off the top to Duncan Williams. Gerry Hurley at out half passed inside to Zebo coming in off the left wing and his pace and athleticism took him clean through for a touch down wide on the right. Gerry Hurley added the points with a difficult kick into the wind. However, Blackrock hit back immediately with a penalty by Darragh Fitzpatrick, and a couple of minutes later scored a try when a mix up by in the Con defence from a deep kick yielded a soft try for No.8 Alex Dunlop.
