Match Report:

Cork Constitution defeated Cashel at Templehill on Sunday afternoon to maintain their good form after the Christmas break. They led 14-7 after a scrappy first period, but pulled away after the break four more tries.

Flanker Dave Hyland scored the first try after nine minutes, when he was at the end of a series of mauls to the goal line. Niall Finn converted, and he added a second to a try by Gary Bradley on 12 minutes, after a fine movement from half-way. Cashel, however, kept in the game with a try and conversion just before the interval break for 14-7.

Barry Galvin scored a fine try on the resumption in the left corner, and he notched his second try in the 50th minute, to which Finn kicked a fine conversion from the touchline.
And Finn scored a fifth try himself on 55 minutes for 31-7.

Cashel never gave up and scored an unconverted try on 65 minutes, while the home side wee down a man due to a yellow card. However, Constitution wrapped up the game with a last minute try by Greg Higgins, converted by Finn for a comprehensive victory.

Next weekend they a tester away to Young Munster, before the Junior Cup begins at the end of the month.
