Cork Con FC J1 20 - 17 Garryowen
Venue: Dooradoyle
Competition: Seconds League Final
Match Report:

Cork Constitution completed the Munster Junior Cup and League double on Saturday at Dooradoyle, when overcoming Garryowen in the Seconds League Final.

Garryowen scored first, but Constitution took control to lead 5-20 at the break. Ian Casey scored Constitution’s first try, to equalise the tie, and Niall Finn added the conversion for 5-7. Barry Galvin slid in for an unconverted try second try to leave Constitution 5-12 at the interval.

A penalty by Finn on the resumption, and a second try by Barry Galvin pushed Constitution’s lead to 5-20 by the mid-point of the half. But the home side hit back with two tries, to close the deficit to three points. However a red card for a front row in the 68th minute ended Garryowen’s hopes of denying Constitution their Cup & League double.
