Cork Constitution J1 XV defeated Dolphin on Sunday afternoon at Musgrave Park back pitch, comfortably securing all five Seconds League points on offer. They did most of the damage in the first period to lead 29-12 by the interval, and saw out the second period comfortably.

 

Front rows Greg Roche, Alec McHenry and Sam Deane each had first half tries for Constitution as their forwards dominated the early exchanges. And that set the scene for further tries by Sam Deane and Mark O’Mahony before the break. Eoin Lacey added two conversions and a penalty.

 

Further tries in the second period from Barry Galvin and Alec McHenry, with Simon Barry kicking a conversion and a penalty by Eoin Lacey, completed the scoring.
