Cork Con FC U20 18 - 13 UCC
Venue: Templehill
Competition: Fraser McMullan U20 Semi-final
Match Report:

Cork Constitution overcame the challenge of University College Cork in the semi final of the Fraser McMullen Under 20 Cup at Templehill on Saturday, but only after a titanic struggle, in which the sides were level at thirteen points each after eighty minutes.

The sides were level at half-time from two penalties each by Jamie Murphy for Constitution, and Bob Smith for College.

In the second half, second row Sean O’Leary had a try for Constitution converted by Murphy, but College hit back with a similar effort by Smith to tie up the scores at thirteen points each, and so it went to extra time.

A single score decided the issue when Jamie Murphy scored an unconverted try.

In the other semi-final, UCD overcame Terenure College 21-8 to set up an attractive final at Portlaoise on next Sunday, 17th April.
