Cork Con FC 1st XV 21 - 11 UCC
Venue: Mardyke
Competition: Munster Senior Cup Semi-final
Match Report: Cork Constitution defeated University College Cork in the Munster Senior Cup semi-final at the Mardyke on Saturday afternoon. In perfect conditions, the first half play was disappointing, but in the second half both sides did justice to the occasion.  Constitution led 6-3 at the interval from two penalties kicked by Johnny Holland, to one by Sean Og Murphy for the students.  Murphy levelled the scores with a 48th minute penalty for College. But Constitution hit the front in the 55th minute, when Holland ran in a try at the posts, after his pack had rumbled to the line from a line-out. And he converted for 13-6.  Andrew O’Driscoll made the game safe for Constitution in the 60th minute with a second try from another line-out rumble. Wing Conor Barry scored a fine try for College in the 65th minute, when their three-quarters ran in from their own half. Johnny Holland closed out the scoring in the final minutes with his third penalty. Constitution had received a walk-over from Midleton in the 2nd Round, and will now meet Garryowen, who defeated Shannon 14-13 in the other semi-final, in December at Thomond Park.Referee:
