Cork Con FC J1 54 - 12 Dolphin
Venue: Musgrave Park
Competition: Seconds League
Match Report:

Cork Constitution won a comprehensive Seconds League victory over neighbours Dolphin on the back pitch at Musgrave Park on Sunday. Trailing 9-12 at half time, a strong second half performance, that yielded seven tries, proved too much for the home side.

A competitive first half saw the lead change a number of times, as the place kickers were successful with a succession of kicks. Dolphin led 12-9 at the interval with Eoin O’Shaughnessy and Chris Bannon succeeding with four penalties, to three in reply from Brian Derham for Constitution.

Eoin O’Donnell scored the first of his three tries, when he finished a Brian Derham break in the 50th minute. Derham converted that, and two further tries by Michael Moynihan and Cormac Fouhy. He then added further conversions to tries by Michael Moynihan, Jayde Cruikshank and Eoin O’Donnell, before Con finished the rout with late unconverted tries by Ed Quirke, and finally, Eoin O’Donnell completed his hat trick.

Constitution remain unbeaten after three Seconds League wins over Midleton, Cashel and Dolphin. Next up, a home game against Sunday’s Well at Temple Hill on Sunday 28th October.
