Cork Constitution won their return Seconds League game with UCC at Curraheen Road on Sunday, scoring seven tries to the student’s three tries. In a free flowing game, Con led 27-10 at the break, and the play continued to be as bright as the afternoon in the second period.
Matt Ross and Brian Vaughan scored early tries for Con before UCC ran in a try on the right wing. Peter O’Sullivan kicked a penalty on 32 minutes, but College replied similarly 3 minutes later. Neil O’Connell scored a fine try with a super run from deep in his half in the 38th minute, and Matt Ross scored his second try on the stroke of half time.
On the resumption, Constitution continued to press home their superiority with tries from Dave Clarke and Ryan Hassan, both converted by Peter O’Sullivan. College were always competitive and scored two tries before the finish, but in between Alan Ross scored Con’s seventh try, that O’Sullivan again converted.Referee:
